[Week 10] - Devlog 25 November 2024


This week has been a productive one for our team, with significant progress made on multiple fronts. On the programming side, one of the most exciting achievements is the implementation of a core gameplay mechanic: the ability for characters to move between islands. This feature is pivotal for our game's exploration aspect.
Meanwhile, our artists have been equally busy bringing life and motion to the game's visual elements. They've successfully created and polished several key animations that will play a crucial role in gameplay. These include the character's walking animation, which adds personality and fluidity to the player's movements; the animation for felling trees using magic, which highlights the enchanting fantasy aspect of the game; and the tree-falling animation, which captures the dynamic interaction between the environment and the character's actions. These animations not only enhance the game's aesthetic appeal but also contribute to a more engaging and satisfying gameplay experience.
